People look like cartoons on my vx1000 please help	Can't Post

when i record and output the picture is cartoon like, any advice

Begin by going into "Menu" to "Custom Presets" and hit "Reset" there to make sure that the custom presets are not messing up the pic.

I have a friend who has a VX1000 thats doing the same thing. When we take all the color out (Make it B+W) It looks fine. His lithium Battery is dying but I dont think it could be that.I believe sony services these cameras for a flat rate of $250. I am not sure if that is definately true or what the phone # is to have it fixed. Perhaps someone else knows.
