Playback during shooting Can't Post

I havent shot with the VX-1000 before and will be shooting a short film with it soon. What I'm wondering is if it's viable to have simultaneous playback while it's shooting... I like to sit back and watch everything from a monitor so I can concentrate on the scene and actors. Do you think it's practical to do that with the VX-1000?
