In my experience, NLE systems have crappy slow-motion. The only exceptions to the rule are when you get a $100,000+ system like a flame. The solution I was turned onto was Digital Fusion Post 2.5 It's very expensive but that doesn't mean you couldn't download a "free" copy for "trial" purposes.
