SKATEBOARDING VIDEO MAGAZINES Can't Post

Do skate video magazines accept footage taken with the Canon GL1? Thanks, Danny

If the footage is good and has an audience, it is saleable.
Do you have a list on "SKATEBOARDING VIDEO MAGAZINES" on the web?
I'd like to make a list for everyone.

They will accept footage as long as its on the mini dv format. Therefore the GL1 is acceptable. Some video magazines:
411vm
EST
Progression
Logic
Digital
there are more I think.

NO. I don't think that the mag would be a very big success. You see, most people that are interested in video magazines like them for the "skateboarding." Also, they would run out of topics after the first issue. Think about it. What are they going to talk about? How to push? How to hold a camera? How to put on a death lense? How to zoom? That would be pretty silly if you ask me. If you want to get better at filming, you need to practice. A magazine or a video probably isn't going to improve your skills. It will give you better knowledge of the subject, but it isn't going to make you a "better" filmer. -Robert

don't use too many death lense shots, check out www.411.com
www.progresion.com www.logic.com i heard these guys pay well for good clean shots. 411 uses mostly pros. but progression is keen to give the ams a chance.. bkay
