SOUND PROBLEMS Can't Post

I know this is a dumb question but, I am currently editing footage (on G4/final cut pro) I recorded on my VX1000 and I can't figure out how to find out what I recorded it in. 48mh 32mh or 22mh or 8 or 16 bit. What's the best way to check how I recorded it and how to change the settings? When I download the footage into my system the sound is only apparant on one track and I can't figure out why.

Re: SOUND PROBLEMS Can't Post

There is no way to change setting without a firmware upgrade, and assuming you haven't done this yet, your audio was recorded at 32kHz 4 channel (or two stereo pairs.

So, I know I'm a little dim, but that means everything I recorded on the VX1000 was recorded in 32khz and how many bits? Is it always 4 channel even though I used a lavalier mic?

Unfotunately, yes. 32kHz / 12 bit / 4 channel. And the fact that you only actually use two of those channels makes no difference to the VX-1000. It was designed toall ow for audio overlay in post or mixdown to tape.
