SP vs. LP Can't Post

I have a VX-2000 and I'm recording on EX quality tapes. Is there any problem with recording in LP mode? The stuff I've recorded so far in LP looks fine, but is there any increased chance of things going wrong?

Well, since LP mode runs the tape a little slower than SP, you might encounter some drop-outs with heavy editing. I'm not sure though if intensive playback would result in drop outs like the horrible Hi-8 evaporated tapes used to. The picture quality was great on those though. (We're talking back in the days :_) )
