Serious problems with PAL VX2000 in the US.	Can't Post

Hi all,
This is the second I've exchanged a PAL DCR-VX2000E from a local dealer. The first one had a flickering viewfinder, the second had a black speck sitting on the CCD. I'm still trying to negotiate a third new one, but he's arguing that SONY in the US is going to fix it, and they were reluctant to send a new one. I don't know, but I'm very disappointed. Can anyone share their experiences on purchasing any defective VX2000, both PAL and NTSC ? And does anyone know if the PAL cammy's brought into the US are refurbished ones they rejected in Japan or is it like a factory outlet type deal ???
