Sony DCR-VX1000 monitor death	Can't Post

Once more please. Would one of you kind gentlemen/ladies copy me with the instructions for repairing a dead monitor/viewfinder. Assume that I can build a computer but have never taken a screwdriver to my camera. Where do I get a part; where do I get a manual; what stupid thing am I likely to do if you do not warn me? Many thanks in advance.
