Sony NPA-10000 Help for a Friend!

I am looking for help for a missionary friend in Guatemala. I provide logistic support where I can. This friend is teaching indiginous indians how to shoot and edit in their own language for their own people. Recently one of his trainees dropped his NPA-10000 for his Sony DSR-200A - apparently a battery adapter that holds three batteries. I personally have never seen one. He asked me if I could try to lacate a replacement for him, however all of my searches have come up empty. Could some one offer advice. Is there a replacement number or somewhere to pick old quality units. I would appreciate any help and he certainly would appreciate it.
