Time code on recorded video Can't Post

Is there a way to have the time code recorded on to the video tape with a VX1000?
I have to tape some sports games but want the time code to show somewhere on the recorded tape.
Thanks in advance....

Time code is recorded automaticaly on the tape (Starting at 0 if a new tape), and it can be displayed over the video image using the remote control, but it can't be 'burn't' into the video. The Time Code cannot be set to say start at 05:30:00:00 - it will start at 0 if a new tape and will 'pick-up the last time code of the last take if available. It is a switchable 'display or not display' option, in recording and playback.
