Trouble with tape tension with VX2000 Can't Post

Does anyone else have this problem with their VX2000? When recording in camera mode, if I leave the camera set still, I will not get any drop outs, if I move about with the camcorder, it scrambles the picture and the audio goes out of sync by 2-3 seconds. I have sent it off to Sony for a flat fee repair of $492. OUCH! It seems there are alot of that type of problems from what I am reading here.

Since no one else has responded, all I can tell you is that I have been shooting with a VX1000 and a PD150 for many years without the sort of problem you described. I don't believe that is is a particularly common problem.

For that amount of money paid. If the problem still exists send it back and have them fix it. Also, request that they give a detail of what was done. It could be a loose cable that when the camera is in motion gives and intermittant short. If the camera records and plays back fine in a stationary position, then thats the only suggestion that I can help with. Good luck.
