VX-1000 Screws to mount shoe Can't Post

While videotaping a wedding someone knocked my 1000 over causing the Cool Lux light to strip the two shoe mounting screws out of the handle. Has anyone tried re-threading the screw holes to accomodate slightly larger screws? Any suggestions??

Don't try this at home! Give it to SONY service to fix!
