VX-1000 Slower Shutter Speeds? HOW!!! Can't Post

I went to the menu and turned SHUTTER to OFF, and ZOOM to ON and still can't get the shutter speed to go below 60.

Help?

Unsure

Dude, I'm pretty sure you'll need the shutter "on" in order to manipulate it's rate. I love to lower the Shutter on my vx2000 down to 1/30 when shooting on a tripod. It give the vid a nice filmic effect. Some people think it looks strobe-like, but if you compose good steady shots, with good light, you can get some amazing looking footage. Be careful though, if you go any slower your video will studder pretty noticably. Have fun with it.

With 'Digital Zoom' switched on, you just adjust the shutter speed, not with the shutter button, but with the control knob on the side. This will let you go down to 1/4 sec. Good Luck. It's all in the manual - if you have lost yours then...http://www.henrys.com/manuals/
