VX1000 Horizontal Bars on Tape Problem Can't Post

The last two tapes I shot on my VX1000 had about 6 evenly spaced horizontal bars on the tape. This happened towards the head of the tape and seemed to disappear, but sometimes the bars had images of previous footage in them and sometimes they were black. I had the camera fully serviced and cleaned over a year ago and have shot about 50 hours of footage with no problem. Anybody know what is wrong? I need to be able to depend on this camera working.

Sounds like a classic head clog. Search the forum, it's a fairly common DV issue.
Good luck.
