VX1000 power cable/encoding Can't Post

I need to find a inexpensive powercable(the funky one from the charger to the cam)
I already know about B&H for $50
I now have a usb 2.0 scratch disk for capture and I would like to know what people us to encode video and transfer to DVD

for capture if you have a VX1000 you dont really want to use it to capture. get a cheap cam and capture with that. to capture you need a firewire card/cabe and software. i use adobe premiere for caprute and edit and encore for DVD encoding on Windows and on MAC i use final cut and DVD studio( but you can use iMovie and iDVD if you have a mac)
