VX1000 viewfinder ribbon Can't Post

Hi everyone, im wondering why VX1000 has so muct problem in the viewfinder riibon? I got one old CCD camera for 15 years old and has never had any problem with the viewfinder. Is the problem exists for those who use the camera nearly everyday? Wat about if people just use it to shoot couple vacations or documentary works? How can we reduce the risk of damaging the viewfinder ribbon?

it is just the nature of the cable. it will help the cable if you dont lift it hard or all the way up much. it is an easy fix though you can get the cables off of ebay. here is the fix if anyone has one broke and wants to fix it http://www.skateperception.com/instructional/instructional.php?id=ribbon

when they are broke there usually is a picture when the finder is down or halfway up but dies when brought all the way up
