VX2000 bad CCD?? Can't Post

One of my VX2000's seems to have a problem with a CCD. It can't see the color blue. Everthing that is blue looks green in the camera. I just got an estimate for CCD replacement that seems to be more than the camera may be worth. Has anyone ever needed new CCDs for a VX2000 and if so, how much did it cost? Thanks

It shouldn't cost you anything if it's a defective CCD.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info Rusty but the information on that page says that the image needs to be extremely distorted or no image at all. The image I get isn't really distorted, it just won't record blue. Anything that is blue turns out to be green. I got a quote of $1,200.00 to replace them if they are bad. This shop also suggested that it may only be a bad connection on the CCD. God, it's been a bad year for equipment problems. So far I've had three camera problems and a wireless mic go bad.....!!!Unsure I'll check with Sony support to see if this may qualify for a free repair..... Thanks again..
