VX2000 v DSR 250 Can't Post

How close are the internals: chips, electronics & lens of the VX2000 to the DSR250? Would it be fair to say that the 250 is a VX2000 in a different shoulder mount package offering XLR and many manual controls but sharing it's core systems?
