VX2k white balance drift in cold Can't Post

During filming at the ice rink, the playback WB slowy shifts from red to blue back to red about every 10 seconds.
Is this the tape (Fuji), the camera, or the cold?
I haven't taped much outside of the rink, but what I have taped I have not noticed this problem. Going to get some Sony tapes and try it tomorrow.

Maybe the inputs I gave here http://www.wwug.com/forums/sony-proline/index.htm on feb 23 and mar 1 may be helpfull.

Out of curiosity do you manually white, go for auto WB or use one of the sony settings ????? As this could be the problem

Thank you for the link, the information is helpful. I had hoped to use manual WB however being so new to the camera and in a hurry (I wasn't shooting anything important!) I put it in AE Sports mode where the WB looked great. However the results are important since they showed this problem.
I take it from the information I've read that if I keep the shutter speed constant (in AE-S) or full manual mode, that the problem won't occur? I'll give it another try today.
I'm not sure what type of lights they have at the ice rink.
Thanks,
Patrick

An indoor rink with outside light mixed with artificial illumination will cause some balance hunting in auto ... use manual white for constant fixed accurate color

I don't think it is related to the cold- it happens with fluorescent light fixtures on my VX2k. Only some lights; others are fine (all indoors, room temperature.)
