SONY PD-170 Can't Post

how far down can i move in the model numbers of the Sony PD Series from the PD-170 but still get good quality WHILE FILMING CHRISTMAS LIGHTS? this must be good quality for dvd output. thanx for future replies

There is no where to go below PD 170 in the "model" numbers. It's the only "PD" they make. To go up changes to a 'DSR' 250 while going down moves to the 'VX'2100 Sly

A VX will work fine.

TO go down from the PD-170 would be the PD-150 which is an older model. You can still get PD-150's used, but the PD-170 is top of line NON HD Pro-Sumer CAM for Sony.
