achromatic Diopters w/ VX2K+PD150PAL Can't Post

I just got a new PD150Pal. For clos up shots I need some advice to solve a problem I had with the VX1000.
I had to go right to the front of the lens for closup's like a bee, to fill the frame. But then the sunshade tuck away most of the light and without sunshade you get sidelight.
I have seen, that Century has 4 models of achromatic Diopters. Would they solve my problem? Can I have more distance between the lens and the object and is it still filling the frame.
thank you
Max
Which of the 4 models would you recommend +1/+2/+4/ or +7
