airport x-ray & VX2000? Can't Post

Have any of you allowed your VX2000 to go through the x-ray at the airport?
I've always avoided doing that with my notebook computer, and maybe I'm overly cautious; people have told me that they have run theirs through and it hasn't been a problem.
But I'm afraid.
I'm concerned that any memory setting might be corrupted if I let the camera go through the machine. Certainly I wouldn't do that with important recorded tapes or other magnetic media.
It is a hassle making security observe that a unit will "come on" (as if that would prove it's not a bomb).
But, I dunno; any comments?
