balance on built-in mike vx2000 Can't Post

I'd call sony on this but it's the weekend. I have brand new vx2000 and when I put head phones on to test the built in mike the right side is picking up more than the left. It is not the head phones, they are balanced.
Is there any way to balance left and right on the mike? I've looked everywhere with no luck. Thank you. Thank you.
