codeing vhs tape Can't Post

I have a sony vx2100.
I shot about 6 hours of interview tape. I'm going to edit it down to two hours. Another person wants to view the tapes and tell me which 2 hours to keep. He doesn't have a dv camera or recorder, so I want to put the 6 hours of footage onto 3 vhs tapes for him to review. My question.....Can my camera the vx 2100 lay down time code or anything onto the vhs tapes for him to reference the edits he wants me to make?
Thanks for your help.

Not unless your VHS deck has time code. You could possibly push the display button on the 2100 and the time code may show up as an on screen display on the composite out but that may be the best that you can do.

Wrong.
Very simple, goto the menu and the bottom item is "ETC" then scroll down to "DISPLAY" and choose "V-OUT/LCD" and whatever appears on the LCD will be available at the composite or S-Video out. This is a common practice to display time code for exactly what you need it for.

I think that's what I said, right? Sorry I didn't have a camera in front of me for the exact procedure, but I think most people could figure it out.
