connecting Sony PD170 to tv while editing on FCP. PLS!	Can't Post

Hi everyone,
I'm editing on FCP 4 and I'm having trouble connecting my powerbookG4(1,5 ghz) to the tv via using Sony PD170. My firewire cable seems to work fine, and I can do this with other cameras, I get image on the camera's lcd screen when I connect it to the computer, but as soon as I put the video in cable for tv the image goes away .

Have any ideas why this happens? Do Sony PD170 cameras don't allow u to use it for this?
