What do you mean by really fast? Unfortunately the VX1000 is a battery hog, at least compared to later cameras like the PD150. My PD150 will shoot for five or six hours on an NP-F730 whereas I am lucky to get an hour's shooting with my VX1000. I also have an NP-720 "High Energy" battery which gives me about the same shooting time. I note the manual predicts 50 minutes of continous recording time and 105 minutes of "continous using time". I think the only answer is to carry spare batteries. The design of the VX1000 with the battery completely internal make using the larger NP-F960 impractical. I have also shot with an external battery in a battery belt. Rick Spilman Meridian Multimedia www.meridianmultimedia.com
