dsr370 problem Can't Post

I have a Sony dsr370 dvcam, when shooting I am getting a black edge on the left side of my footage.

Is there any setting that I could/need to change to ensure that the picture fills the screen.

thanks in advance for your help.

regards

I assume as an owner/user of that camera you mean the problem is on the recorded tape and have checked the picture on more than one monitor?
If so I don't know of any camera setting that will fix that problem. Did it just occur or has been there since new? Could the cam or lens have taken a more than mild bump?

Check your filters dial... if it is somehow between filters, which can happens easily enough if you aren't careful with your fingers, you will get that sort of vignette effect that really does a nice job of ruining a shot.
