looking for a wide angle lens

I am looking for a wide angle or fish eye lens to fit onto my old DCR-TRV103 Dig8 (That's right one of the first of its kind. It should be put into the Smithsonian.) I hate to invest to much money for a camera that is nearly 8 years old but it is the perfect tool for this up coming job. What I don't quite understand is the size I'm looking for. It says 72mm on the camera but when I went to look for it on eBay I got abunch of listings for the FX1. Could it be possible that the FX1 model is the same size lens as my Dig8?
