mini dv tape problem	Can't Post

I am having problems playing back mini dv tapes with my vx-1000 that were recorded on my vx-2000. I get break ups and drop outs. I have no problems going the other way, jut from my 2000 to my 1000. Also are you suppsed to record in black for time codes on brand new tapes. Please any help would be great

Try running a pass of the head cleaner on both cams. Then try recording a new tape and see if its repeatable.
