This is a quote from a mail I posted taken out of context. I was not saying that I am not happy with a pd-150. In the original thread a poster was stating that the PD-150 had a *different* ccd than the vx2000, and that it in fact used the older, slightly higher density vx1000 ccd's. I was just saying that according to my manuals for both the vx2000 and pd150 that this doesn't appear to be the case... : : "How come the specifications in the Manual for PD-150 give the size of the CCD's at 380,000 pixels, 340,000 effective pixels with a minimum of 2 lux at f1.4. : : This is exactly the same specifications as for the vx2000, as printed in the vx2000 manual aswell" : : ^^^ if the above IS true, then it seems to me that the guy with the pd150 is not happy that his cam pic is the same quality pic as the vx2000....what does the forum think? : : What is the mystery here? : The PD150 to the VX2000 is like the PD100 to the TRV900 - the ccd's are the SAME. It's other features that make the differences... XLR inputs, DVCAM recording ability, etc. etc. not found on their consumer counterparts.
