soft lens Can't Post

I have a pd-150 with a Century Optics .65 wide angle lens. I never take off the lens and I'm needing to use a filter, actually I want to get the Tiffen 'Warm Promist 1' because I already have the 58mm version and kind of like it, for certain parts of my shoots (ie. bride pre-ceremony). My lens hood is a Cavision LH-80 which has a 82mm thread on it. Would I have any problems by adding a 82mm filter on it as far as focus and sharpness goes? Is there too many layers of glass there?
I do find my wide angle softens the image a little as it is.

If anyone has any other filters they use I would love to hear about it.

Thanks in advance.
