I have a sony vx2000 about 3 years old , use for wedding. I do about 10-15 wedding a year. I edit in adobe 6.5, i'm starting to have audio problems the sound is breaking up in record and playback. when i put it on the timeline in adobe i can see small space where the sound did not record or breaks up. need help first wedding this season April 30th. I have changed firewire card, firewire cable, no luck. Could it be the vx2000 if so do anyone know of a repair shop near Richmond VA. Please Help

It sounds to me like you need to have this camera serviced. Your problem could be the cause of a worn drum assembly. One way to check if this is your problem is to clean the head with a cleaning cassette then record something with a lot of white such as a dark frame in a white wall, playback your recording on another DV camera or VTR that you know works well. If it plays back with audio drop outs or video pixel break up, it means your camera needs a new drum assy or good tape path cleaning and tracking alignment.
