trouble capturing footage to mac Can't Post

Hey there, i just purchased a vx1000 and i have been logging footage onto Final Cut Pro, but when i try to capture it, it gives me a error saying servo deck is locked......
it says the servo deck is locked or the tape isn't threaded... i figure since i can log the footage, the tape must be threaded... if anyone has any ideas please let me know..
Thanks..
John M.

John,
This error usually means that the preroll setting is too short.
Go to Edit > Preferences >Device Control tab. Increase preroll time to 5 sec.
Also, check the 'Use deck search mechanism' check box--is it available to you? If so, UNcheck it.
Lastly, turn everything off and make sure all the cables are pushed in tight.
