vx-2000 problem??? help?? Can't Post

we have a vx-2000 that when we transfer the Dv via the firewire to our comp editing machine we sometimes get a jump on the video, the sound is ok. but the video will "jump" or kinda fast forward a little for just split seconds at a time, and then it will quit?? no ryme or reason, it does it when ever it feels like it? we use the Sony dvm60 tapes, would the premium tapes be better?? seems that maybe it does it more on certain tapes, but maybe not, we are still evaluated the problem? as i am writing this i am watching a feed of the bad tape directly off of the camera via the audio video lines, and so far i have not seen any problems? soooo....maybe its a firewire or comp. problem?? and ideas??

thanks in advance, we do high school sports shows on the local cable channel, and don't have much money...much less knowledge!! LOL
