vx1000 used what to look out for Can't Post

I am going to purchase a used vx1000 and was wondering what I should look out for, what to test etc.
I am new to cameras and would like some advice,

Just kidding. Keep your eyes open for broken wiring in the eyepiece connector. After repeated use, the cable becomes unattached and much like a coathange after bending it back and forth, it gives under stress. Look for dust inside the front lens. This is a sign of lens repair. Stay on your feet with the playback of the original recording. Use a good tape and watch for any sign of dropouts.
