vx2000 + pd170 Can't Post

one of my vx2000 is in for repairs and will have a loaner of a pd170. will be shooting a wedding with the vx2000 and pd170. what will be the differences between the 2 camera in shooting and editing. this makes me soooo nervous. fri. and sat. wedding with this to look forward to.

I don't think you should have a problem. I would switch the PD170 to DV instead of DVCAM so you won't have any playback issues.

I also own a VX2000 and I had rented a 170 for a wedding last year.
Have you used a PD170 before?
I would try to check a manual for the cam or practice with it before the wedding. The cameras are basically the same, but some of the controls and adjustments are a little different. If you are use to shooting with manual controls, you may be thrown off trying to find the adjustments last minute.
otherwise it is a great camera. If I purchase another cam, that would probably be the one I will get.

I have used both vx2000 and pd150, and 170 on a shoot. Be sure to white balance on the same white object. The 170 has better ccds in lowlight than the pd150 and vx2000. You can match the camcorders pretty close but you may have to do further color correcting when editing. If your using FCP you should be able to overcome any color differences.
