vx 1000 breakabel? Can't Post

a few weeks ago i droped my vx1000 from a miniramp platform to the floor (about 2 meters). i thought it was all broken but it wasn't. the viewfinder was replaced and the battery door (you'll know what i mean) didn't open. after pulling and turning a little bit the viewfinder went into it's original position and the door opened again. that's incredible! nothing happened!

Yeah, Ive heard that alot about this camera. That is one of the reasons I was loking into buying one. I wish they would have made the vx-2000 with th same look but with the new features. A friend of mine had hs vx-2000 sitting in his backpack, he barely dropped maybe a foot of the ground and it got way messed up.

i went to cambodia with this camera and almost drowned in
the tonle sap river - had my camera out in the little row boat than was taking us from battambong to siem riep (where ankor watt is located) in the middle of the river with gusty wind and 6 ft swells with water splashing all directions. i didn't get a channce to seal the dape door shut and still the camera came out fine - just a little wet.

That's because it just got a little wet. Don't fool yourself into thinking it can take water.
