vx 1000 eject symbol error	Can't Post

hey,
first time posting here. seems like a good forum.

anyhow i pulled out my sony vx1000 after not using it for several months.
inserted a tape only to hear beeping and see a eject symbol flashing in the view finder. tried a couple of other tapes with the same results.
anyone know what might cause this?

Yup, slide the little switch open on the edge of the cassette.

at first i thought it may have been the tape being locked as well but it wasn't. everything seems to be working fine now. a bit strange thought that that had happened. thanks
