After Effects Can't Post

I am trying to put together a good After Effects tutorial for a cable access station. I was wondering if you could give me some tips of where I could say After Effects is used ie) movies, commercial. I want to sugguest something to the effect of "Have you ever wondered how they achieved the effect in....." then give the movie or commercial.

Thank you.

Re: [beaumier30] After Effects [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm no expert, but you can see it all over the place. After Effects is used in the movies and on T.V. all the time. Check out some of the plugin's web sites. They like to show you where their latest and greatest offerings have been used. Just off the top of my head, I think it was Sapphire that was used in "Lord of the Rings" and there is a car commercial using Trapcode Particular. Oh and NBC (I think it's NBC) is using Trapcode where you see those swirly lines on the lower third and other areas of the screen. I think the plugin is called organic lines or something like that. I can't guarantee that these were created using After Effects as these companies make the same plugins for other programs as well. However, they could have been and can be created in After Effects.

Well anyway, check it out
