Beeps in Audio when doing transfer need help!!	Can't Post

I am having these beeps in my audio when I transfer from my digital cameras or JVC Mini DV recorder. It does not matter which I use, when making the transfer from either one to the computer I get these beeps in my audio, I might have to trandfer the tape 20 times to get out the beeps and they show up in different places each time I transfer.
It is killing me on making my show for the Tv station, it is laos making me have to cut film I should not have to cut. What do I need to do to stop this beep. I had a person tell me start doing my transfer to s-video which I do not understand. Why do they make this stuff and it will not work.
I have a super fast computer alos I have 240gig of hard drive, I do not understand why I am having this problem. I spent thousands of dollars for the cameras and the other equipment and have to put up with this can some help me?? I am really sick of spending money and nothing working.

What software are you using, Scott? Also, please describe your system, especially the sound card you're using, and some detail about your audio hookup (what's connected to what).

Doug,
Thank you for replying I will have to see I have a Pentium 4 with 240G hard drives and 1023 Ram The sound card is a Creative Sound Blaster AudioPCI 128D. The setting are at:
MIDI Synthesizer Waveset is at 2MB, it can be set at 4 or 8.
Output mode is set in autosence and can be changed to Digital or analog.
It has some other setting that I do not under stand on input and output called resources.
That is about all I can tell you I am not a computer head. Did I say anything that might help?

Scott,
Are you using Vegas to edit your video? That program has an option to provide a metronome "tick", which can be turned off.
How are you capturing your audio and video? Do you use the USB port, or the Firewire port on your computer? Are you capturing as a DV file (.avi) or MPEG (.mpg)?
