Perfect timing!!! You can order the book now!!! It's finally happening! I can tell you that I have learned many things about the publishing world during this experience. TV Production is much faster! The good news is they have let me make changes due to technology upgrades right up til December 2005! So it is as current as possible. I signed off on the final pages of the workbook last week and the Instructor's Manual has been ready for some time.

It will be in the warehouse ready for distribution on Feb 10. www.g-w.com Click on the Technical trades Catelog on the left and do an author search on my name. The title is rather unimaginative but the publisher determined the title - Television Production by Phillip L. Harris.

I just ordered books for all my kids. I asked on Thursday and they had already received many orders. I'm so excited! If that many orders are made pre-publishing, imagine how many more will sell once the word gets out to television production instructors in high schools that there finally is a textbook written on a 11th grade level that is not based on simple consumer equipment. There are many college texts available but I never found anything on a high school level that wasn't too simplistic.

Thanks for your interest!

Phil,

Send me a review copy. There ought to be a market for a review of this...my first thought would be "Videomaker" magazine, but maybe there are some educator pubs you could suggest.

Doug,

I have nothing to send you. Contact Goodheart-Willcox for a examination copy, I guess. www.g-w.com. Click on the "ordering" tab on the top and you'll get some phone numbers...

I called the publisher and they are sending me one to keep for my classes in Kingsport. Phillip Harris is from Bristol originally and has a sister who teaches in Kingsport. Didn't you once live in K'sport?
