Copying DV to computer DVD Can't Post

I was wondering if anyone knows of what equiptment is required to copy a digital videotape onto a computer hard drive and then burn it onto a DVD.
Any help would be great. I'm new to this.
Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott,
I'(m also new to this. My project was to take video tapes (VHS) & produce DVDs of them. Got a SONY DVD burner (self standing deck) & used RCA jacks (red, yellow and white) from VHS deck to DVD burner. Worked great. Then, took digital video from a SONY 950 Camcorder & directly linked it ("i-link) from camcorder to SONY DVD deck. Worked GReat & was very simple. Good luck.
