You can't.

The DVD-R and DVD+R formats are both in the DVD(General) specification, which does not include any provisions for copy protection.

To be copy protected, a DVD must be authored in the DVD(Authoring) specification. The only machine that's even remotely for the small market that'll do this is a Pioneer DVD burner that costs about $4,000. If you don't want to spend that much on a burner, you'll have to send your DVD out to be replicated (not duplicated) by an outside service. It's a much more costly process than simply duplicating your material, and is usually not worth it for less than 500 or 1000 disks.

At work we have had the 201 for a few years. I made plenty a DVDs but have not figured out how to copyprotect them. Is there some software that adds that feature? I'm using DVDit PE ver. 2.5 I think.

Thanks,

Stoney, I don't have that drive, but you might check out Ulead's DVD Workshop. It "supports" Macrovision copy protection. Now, that may only apply if you record your project to DLT and send it off to a replication service that also has a Macrovision license...

Thanks,
That is what I thought. I don't use it as much now, because the media is cheaper for the G drives. We paid big bucks for our system and less than a year later they came out with the G drives. Oh well.

Thanks

DVDA3 seems to have a copy protection feature. (Sony DVD architect 3)
