DV to MPEG converter or encorder info needed Can't Post

Hi everyone in the forum, how r u? I need to know wat sort of device (NON-USB or computer) that will encode or convert from my miniDV to MPEG? I prefer not to use computer because it has a lot of problem in regards to the computer setup...and sometime problem in capturing exist such as lagging in audio (Not synced) and frame drop out. So wat i need is a piece of device that will read analog from my device and straight out to CD... Or at least keep it in the internal disk storage system in the device. Then i can take the mpeg file to my computer ad edit it... Please advise... Afterall, i would like to thanx everybody that try to solve my problem.

Thx,
Hendra.
