Daily Shows Can't Post

I am looking to connect with some teachers that are doing a daily news show at their school. We do a live 5 minute production each day and a bi weekly 30 minute show for local cable.
Anyone else doing anything similar? It would be nice to share some ideas...

Re: Daily Shows Can't Post

I teach at a high school in NJ and we're about to start broadasting basicly the
same setup you have going at the middle of this schoolyear. I'd love to hear
whatever feedback you get from your post. I've been pushing to broadcast for
a few years now...we have all the equipment finally in place and would love to
get into a network of others in my situation. Please keep me posted!

Re: Daily Shows [In reply to] Can't Post

It's great to see this type of posting. I believe this was the original intent of this forum. I teach broadcast journalism in West Virginia. My students produce a weekly 10-12 minute newscast for the school. We also operate a community access cable channel 24/7 from the classroom with a scrolling bulletin board of announcements, weekly taped programming and occasional live telecasts. We also produce news items for local commercial radio. Last year, we produced a daily morning news show for cable.
The Radio and Television News Directors Association/Foundation has a national high school journalism project underway. Their intent is to provide industry support and partnerships for high school electronic journalism programs. They're offering many resources. Please check out the following link and let's continue to post here and exchange ideas.
