Help on how to make video capture tutorials? Can't Post

Hi there, can anyone tell me what software I can use to make video tutorials of actions I perform on my PC? I need some good video capture software, also preferrably something I can try free first so I'm sure it suits me before buying, any ideas? Thanks, Max
