Hercules Smart TV stereo Can't Post

Hello All,
I installed the "title" Tuner/Capture card into my pc (spec's of my system are more than adequate for this purpose) because I have some "old" stuff on VHS (who doesent :-) ) I want to tranfer to CDR before they are lost or the tape quits on me...
Anyone here has any experience with this card and can provide me with some hints to the wright settings for it ? (for example to get one hour of VHS on a disk... (Quality, Resolution? , what Codec to use...? (good codec download locations) MPEG1 or 2 ? or one of the other formats)).
