Not quite sure what you mean... Camparing the human eye to video lux seems a little pointless to me. They just don't compare very well. I think a better approach is to operate in terms of what you want the shot to look like, then add or remove lighting and adjust the exposure as necessary. There is also the issue of contrast. Video has a more limited range of contrast than your eyes. So the bigger question is... "What do we want the audience to notice the most?" Then we expose for that accordingly. Also, be aware that video will never look quite like what our eyes see, because we see in 3D. That's why good lighing is so important. Consequently lighting for the screen tends to be very different than it is for everyday use. A big part of that is about simulating depth. Personally I think everything we shoot for the big or little screen needs to seem a little "larger than life". Otherwise it has no chance of comparing to the experience of our own eyes.
