How save DV on PC? Can't Post

At the very beginning of video:
How can I save video from Sony PC-9 to the HD of my PC so that later I can edit the video from the HD?

You need a Firewire (IEEE 1394) port in your computer, and the appropriate cable. Firewire add-on cards are available for $20-50 or so. You should also have a second hard drive, separate from your system drive. It should be as big as you can find, at least 30 GB and preferably more.
You'll need capture and editing software. Windows XP comes with a basic program called MovieMaker2. Editing software with more features is available. Popular programs include Vegas, Premiere, and Edition.
