I need some advice Can't Post

Hi, I want to setup a PC based NLE system... Right now I'm a little apart about the state of the art in computer hardware and I need some advice in order to get a good, but not too much expensive, system...

I would thank some recommendations about:
Mother board, CPU, Firewire, Monitors (for PC and TV), hard disk, RAM Memory, Sound Card, DVD burner, etc...

I like my Premiere 6.0, but I would like to update to Premiere Pro 7.0... How much is it?

Please forgive my english...

Thanks in advance,
Cenis

Re: [cenist] I need some advice [In reply to] Can't Post

Cenis,

For a software-only editing system, almost any late-model PC will probably do the job. My current preference is for a Pentium IV, 3.0 GHz or better, running on a motherboard using the Intel 875 chipset. 1 GB or more of RAM, using SDRAM recommended by the motherboard manufacturer. SATA hard drives are fast enough for multiple-stream playback of DV material. I like the ATI Radeon video cards.

Most motherboards now come with built-in Firewire ports, network ports, and sound.
